Abstract

Figure 1 . We propose a novel approach that for the first time enables physically simulated humanoids to learn a variety of basketball interaction skills from Human-Object Interaction (HOI) data, including but not limited to shooting (blue), retrieving (red), and turnaround layup (yellow). Once acquired, these interaction skills can be composed to accomplish complex tasks, such as consecutive scoring (green).
