Lune vs Scid

Scid searches papers, drafts literature reviews and draws the citation graph in a workspace you can organize. Lune exposes the same graph as a tool call, so the agent walks it instead of you.

Start with the one you should not buy from us

If the first list is you, take Scid.

Choose Scid if

  • Seeing the citation graph laid out is how you find the thread.
  • You want a workspace with a library, tables and drafts in one place.
  • Non-expiring credits suit work that comes in bursts.

Choose Lune if

  • You would rather the agent traverse the graph than hand you a picture of it.
  • You need the quote behind a claim, with its location.
  • You want the same tools in every client you use.

From a question to a citation

Scid

  3. Draft the review

Lune

  1. Search top-tier venues

Where the difference comes from

Two things to do with a citation graph

Scid draws it. A laid-out graph is genuinely useful when you are new to an area and looking for the cluster everything points at, and visual exploration finds threads a query never would.

Lune traverses it. get_paper_citations returns what cites a paper and what it cites, so an agent can follow a lineage back to the paper that actually introduced a method, then quote the definition.

Drafting against grounding

Scid will draft the literature review for you. That saves a first pass, and the citations point at real papers it found.

Lune does not draft. Your agent writes, and verify_claims answers each sentence with the supporting quote or with nothing found. The division of labour is deliberate: the model is good at prose and bad at remembering what a paper said.
